Chief Legal Officer

Our client, a publicly traded clinical-stage biotechnology company has exclusively retained Solutus Legal Search to assist the executives in their search for a seasoned and sophisticated Chief Legal Officer. Reporting to the CEO, this legal executive will serve as a member of the senior leadership team and will manage an existing team of attorneys. Company headquarters are in Silicon Valley and executives meet once a week in-office. Given the high-profile nature of this role, the CLO will be expected to meet with other execs in-office at least twice a week.

The ideal candidate is mission driven and possesses a background in the life sciences industry. They will exude business acumen and possess an intellectual curiosity for business strategy and how products and services connect to drive innovation and success. This executive will have experience at the highest levels of the profession as a General Counsel/CLO or leading a high-profile team as a top lieutenant.  Strategic thinking, deep analytical skills and ability to influence across all levels of the organization are a must.
