Our client, an emerging growth telehealth company seeks to hire high quality commercial paralegal to join its growing legal team. This role will be remote with the opportunity (if desired) to travel to headquarters or our client’s other locations.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of paralegal experience in the healthcare or pharmaceutical industry (either in a law firm and/or in house) with a familiarity of the industry’s accompanying regulatory laws including HIPAA. A bachelor’s degree and paralegal certificate is preferred. The successful candidate will be able to work independently from a home office with a willingness to roll up their sleeves and pitch in as needed.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of paralegal experience in the healthcare or pharmaceutical industry (either in a law firm and/or in house)
  • A familiarity of the industry’s accompanying regulatory laws, including HIPAA
  • Document management system experience
  • Contract revision
  • Compliance/Regulatory preferred
  • Corporate governance preferred
  • A bachelor’s degree and paralegal certificate is preferred
  • Able to work independently from a home office with a willingness to roll up their sleeves and pitch in as needed
  • Agile and action-oriented to drive towards efficiency and effectiveness, innate ability to hold yourself accountable, desire to create order out of chaos
  • Incredibly organized and detail-oriented, able to prioritize multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with a diverse range of people and job functions, highly responsive with a service-oriented mindset
  • Experience serving as a project lead from conception to completion
  • Experience/fluency in Google Suite preferred (Gmail, Calendar, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Groups, etc.)

Responsibilities

  • Reviewing, drafting and negotiating a variety of commercial agreements such as vendor, technology, and nondisclosure agreements
  • Coordinating execution of agreements and tracking matters
  • Partnered ownership in organizing the company’s contracts in the database
  • Work on special projects as requested which may include partnership with key stakeholders, research, analysis, and presentation preparation
  • Build cross-functional relationships, partner closely with leaders, and keep multiple teams and projects on track in parallel
  • Own meeting management including organizing, attending, document or slide creation, and tracking and following up on action items
