Laura Boysen-Aragon

Laura felt called to recruiting in order to help attorneys navigate their careers.  Throughout her career, she has helped clients to find dynamic candidates and create a more diverse workforce.  With her deep knowledge of the legal market, responsiveness and integrity, Laura provides an invaluable service to her attorney candidates and company clients, alike.

Laura began her legal career at Latham & Watkins LLP in the Silicon Valley and San Francisco offices where she represented and advised public and private companies in mergers and acquisitions, general corporate matters, financings, and securities offerings. Prior to joining Solutus, Laura was a litigator at Rosen Bien Galvan & Grunfeld LLP, a boutique law firm in San Francisco. Laura’s practice focused on representing disabled and mentally ill prisoners incarcerated in California. Laura was named a 2012 Rising Star by Northern California Super Lawyers.

Laura received her J.D. from Columbia Law School where she was a Tony Patiño Fellow, Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar, and an editor of the Human Rights Law Review. During law school, she served as a summer associate at Mayer Brown in New York and at Latham & Watkins in the Silicon Valley. Laura received her B.A. in English from Gonzaga University where she served as Student Body President and was named Student of the Year. As an undergraduate, Laura spent a year studying in Florence, Italy. Prior to law school, she worked for the Governor of California. Laura is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Theology at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles.

In her free time, Laura enjoys travel, cooking, yoga, walks, reading, meditation, and spending time with her spouse and two children. She and her family lived in a tiny beach town in Costa Rica from 2017-2018.
