This Privacy Policy applies to Solutus Legal Search, LLC ("Solutus," "we," "our," or "us") and explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect personal information through solutuslegal.com and its subdomains (the "Sites") and in connection with our legal recruiting and search services (the "Services").
1. What Types of Personal Information Do We Collect?
Information You Give Us. You may provide information when you register with Solutus, sign up for job alerts, submit a resume or other materials, complete forms or surveys, or communicate with us by email, telephone, videoconference, or otherwise.
Depending on your relationship with us, this information may include contact information; resume, employment, education, compensation, work-authorization, professional qualification, reference, and job-search information; communications with us; and other information relevant to recruiting, placement, or our business relationship.
Information We Collect From Other Sources. We may receive professional or recruiting-related information from clients and prospective clients, references, professional networking platforms, publicly available sources, service providers, and other lawful sources.
Information We Automatically Collect. When you use the Sites, we may automatically collect limited technical and usage information, such as IP address, browser and device information, pages viewed, referring pages, dates and times of visits, and similar information through cookies and related technologies. We use Google Analytics to help us understand use of the Sites. See Section 5 and our Cookie Policy for more information.
2. How Do We Use Personal Information?
We may use personal information to:
- provide recruiting, search, placement, and related services;
- identify, evaluate, and communicate about potential employment or business opportunities;
- create and maintain candidate and client records and manage our professional relationships;
- communicate with candidates, clients, prospects, references, vendors, and other business contacts;
- operate, maintain, analyze, secure, and improve the Sites and our Services;
- send job alerts or other communications requested by you and, where permitted, marketing communications;
- comply with legal obligations, respond to lawful requests, prevent fraud or misuse, enforce agreements, and protect our rights and the rights of others.
3. How Do We Share Personal Information?
Clients and Prospective Clients. In connection with recruiting opportunities, searches, placements, and related Services, we may provide candidate information to clients and prospective clients. This may include resumes, professional background, qualifications, compensation or location preferences, references or reference-related information, and other information relevant to an opportunity.
Service Providers and Professional Advisers. We may disclose personal information to service providers, contractors, and professional advisers that support our business, such as website hosting, email, communications, data storage, recruiting systems, analytics, security, accounting, insurance, and legal services. We expect such parties to handle information consistently with applicable law and their contractual obligations.
Legal and Protective Disclosures. We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law or legal process; respond to government or law-enforcement requests; investigate or prevent fraud, security incidents, or unlawful activity; enforce our agreements; or protect the rights, property, safety, or interests of Solutus or others.
Third-Party Sites and Services. The Sites may link to third-party websites or services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, and Solutus is not responsible for those practices.
We do not sell personal information for monetary consideration. Based on our current website configuration, we do not use advertising or social-media tracking technologies for cross-site behavioral advertising.
4. How Do We Respond to ‘Do Not Track’ Signals?
Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" (DNT) setting. Because there is no uniform industry standard for DNT, the Sites do not currently respond to DNT signals. Where applicable law requires us to recognize a legally valid browser-based privacy preference signal, we will do so as required.
5. Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the Sites and understand how visitors use them. We currently use Google Analytics for website analytics and Google Tag Manager to manage website tags. We do not currently use Meta/Facebook Pixel, LinkedIn advertising tags, or Google Ads remarketing on the Sites based on our current configuration.

6. Your Privacy Choices
Marketing Opt-Out. You may unsubscribe from marketing emails by using the unsubscribe instructions in the message or by contacting us. We may continue to send communications relating to an active recruiting or business relationship, requested services, or other non-marketing matters.
Exercising Privacy Rights. Depending on where you live and the law applicable to the particular information, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information, or to obtain other information about our processing. These rights are subject to applicable exceptions and verification requirements. To make a request, contact us using Section 12.
California Privacy Rights. Certain California privacy laws provide additional rights when statutory thresholds or other conditions are met. Where such laws apply to Solutus or to particular processing, we will honor applicable rights and provide any additional notices or mechanisms required by law. This Policy does not create rights beyond those provided by applicable law.
California Civil Code Section 1798.83 may permit California residents to request information regarding certain disclosures of personal information to third parties for their own direct marketing purposes. Solutus does not disclose personal information to third parties for their own direct marketing purposes.
7. International Transfers of Data
Solutus is based in the United States, and personal information may be processed in the United States or other locations where our service providers or clients operate. Where applicable law requires specific protections for an international transfer, we will use protections required by that law.
8. Children’s Privacy
The Sites and Services are not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
9. Change of Control
Personal information may be disclosed or transferred in connection with an actual or proposed merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, sale of assets, or other change of control, subject to applicable law and appropriate confidentiality protections where reasonably available.
10. How Do We Protect Personal Information?
We maintain reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information from unauthorized access, use, alteration, or disclosure. No website, system, storage method, or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy or as otherwise permitted or required by law, taking into account recruiting and business needs, legal and contractual obligations, dispute-resolution needs, and security considerations
11. Policy Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised Policy on the Sites and update the "Last updated" date. Where required by law, we will provide additional notice of material changes.
